Admittedly, Es Trenc is not my favourite beach, especially in the summer season when it is packed! BUT, I am aware of its popularity. If you are going to brave it with the children in tow- here are a few of my insights....

Dont bother with the Salinas entrance, the car park is €7 cash onlyand you might as well be dragging the buggy accross the Sahara Desert before you get to the beachfront. Ses Covettes is the end to go for, there is a free carpark but be sure to get there early before 11am as it definitely fills up quickly. Or there is the option of Pay and Display parking too. Plus here you can drive straight up to the beach to dump kids, buggies, lunchboxes etc before trying to park which is a real bonus for those like me that fail to pack lightly. In addition, there is a great and well-stocked supermarket at the entrance to the beach as well as a few lovely and reasonably priced restaurants. We spent a good two hours or so last time at Bar Esperanza, a really cool place with lots opf shade and breeze and beers for €2. Top tip- bring a parasol with you to Es Trenc, there is very little shade if you dont want to rent a bed and umbrella at silly prices for the day- we bought ours from one of the many chinese supermarkets in Palma on our way there for less than 10 Euros....keeper!
