1. Nakar Hotel - This new hotel is in a prime location in the centre of Palma, and seems to be the city's best kept secret! Their cooler than cool roof terrace opens after 8pm for non-residents. Unfortunately the pool is for guests only, but I am sure they wouldn't stop a toe-dip or two. Great for people watching. Check out the swish restaurant one floor down too. www.nakarhotel.com

2. Es Baluard Restaurant - A gorgeous spot for views of the Marina and a cool breeze away from the city madness. Drink aren't too pricey and the food is delish. www.restaurantesbaluard.com

3. SkyBar @Hostal Cuba - This place is a fantastic night out, the roof terrace opens for non-residents after 6pm with djs and cocktails galore! Don't miss out on their great breakfast buffet either- all you can eat for 12 Euros just remember to book in advance. www.hotelhostalcuba.com

4. Almudaina Hotel - A great spot for the afternoon, with a two level roof terrace and large indoor bar it suits all occasions! We even went here to watch the World Cup on their huge screen. Generally a quiet and peaceful haven. www.hotelalmudaina.com
